the night of the happy witches..or as the French say la nuit des sorcières heureuse
I can honestly say I have never had a more fun or busy Halloween in my life. The holiday has taken on new life, with a weekend of tricks and treats. From Friday, when we assumed the roles of Ferdinand & Marianne from the Jean-Luc Goddard film Pierrot le Fou, as we ventured out to our dear friend Jill’s soiree in Dallas which was lovely. Saturday brought errands, Bo smoking ribs in the middle of all the madness, Calvary Church’s TRUNK OR TREAT which saw us assuming our nod to the original classic Alice from pre-Disney days and decorating our trunk accordingly. We also made a stop by the lovely home of Jennifer and Jason, who sent us home with a small fortune in S’mores supplies. Taco Heads supplied the brisket tacos and carnitas. And evidently all you need is a chimney starter and some coals to make a fire for roasting marshmallows. Sunday brought church, Bo performing a Halloween wedding, we handed out a million pieces of candy in Berkley Place and we made it home with a sleepy puppy in tow and a bag full of on sale candy. Life just might not get any better.
