36th Division-Camp Bowie Mercantile in Fort Worth
These murals are from the Historic Camp Bowie Mercantile in Fort Worth. It is one of our all time favorite places to get lost for hours. The famous muralist, Stylle Read, is the creator of the beautiful artwork. Charged with depicting the rich history of Fort Worth’s beloved Camp Bowie Boulevard, she transformed plain brick walls into a montage of events and landmarks important to the growth of the Westside. I think it was a right on point for an outfit post, as this dress is vintage…and who doesn’t like old timey cars? Of course, one little puppy boy wanted out of the car and jump into my arms…he so couldn’t resist history! Let’s just hope he cooperates when we take our family photos next month. What else can I say Bo supposedly didn’t seem to care much for it..as it went all the way down to my ankles. The solution? I cut the length, threw on this jean jacket from Buffalo Exchange. There you have it, simple right? For the record I haven’t taken these booties off. Man have they stood up to this horrible Texas weather.
Speaking of the weather…we are praying, and praying and covering the people, families, animals, devastated by tornadoes and weather.
