You ride in the park and you’re peeking
Well, the journey is over. It was full of twists and turns, struggle and rejection, and now – triumph. Heather has her glasses. It took three pairs of frames, several pairs of lenses, two cases of the coke bottle effect and with the help of the staff of our optical center, finally a great pair of frames and lenses that work for her. And for one, as her husband…she looks so cute in glasses. Now, she has donned a pair from time to time and I love her in a pair of sunglasses…but these are great. I am a lucky husband. Patience paid off, and she isn’t stuck with contacts 24/7. And for one, there was nothing better to help me recover from a few days of sickness than to see my wife smiling in glasses and taking Emory for a short bicycle ride. Life is good.
P.S. We obviously know there are worse things going on in the world than glasses not working out. Sometimes, it is easy to think they we are not aware of larger issues but at the same time, we vow never to spend too much time on our soapbox of opinions. It’s a balancing act for sure. And HOW!
