John Marin: Modernism at Midcentury | Amon Carter Museum

by lostindrawers

Sunday afternoon are usually a time to pause and think, what haven’t we done in this city?  Sometimes it is trying new things, and much like this Sunday, it is revisting a favorite (and Free!), the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. They have a new exhibit by John Marin, which displayed some really good American art with inspiring colors. We love the Amon Carter, as they have steadily have improved their docents and their collections have expanded to include a lot more variety. It really is one of the best museums in D/FW in overall experience. It made the day quite lovely, which called for the staple of fall…hot chocolate. Which there is no better way to start your week than with a mug of homemade cocoa with whipped cream. Here’s to another week closer to Thanksgiving.
